Senior Manager, Transformation

About Integral

Integral is an employee experience consultancy on a mission to change the future of work, for good. We help leaders bring clarity, compassion, and intelligent action to complex organizational change—with deep expertise in transformation, employee communications, design, and organizational intelligence (including our own Integral Index).

We’re a small team by design, and we’re growing deliberately—bringing more expertise in-house as we do. That’s where you come in. This is a role with real room to shape things, not a seat to fill. All of it anchored by a warm, decidedly un-corporate office in Manhattan (and one extremely committed office dog).

The Role

We’re looking for a strong executor who knows change and knows communications—genuinely fluent in both. Change that isn’t communicated well doesn’t land; communication without change craft is just announcements. You can build the change plan and write the message, and you know how each shapes the other.

You’ll lead the day-to-day of complex transformation engagements: shaping plans, building the communications and change work that brings them to life, running working sessions, and serving as a trusted daily contact for clients. You’ll do this in close partnership with our Director, Transformational Change, who holds the top-line relationship and strategy—your job is to lead the engine that delivers it.

And here’s the temperament part: we’re a small firm building something; this means not everything is figured out. If that sentence made you nervous, this isn’t your role. If it makes you a little excited—if you see a pile of puzzle pieces and immediately start turning them over, if you’d rather make a smart first move and adjust than wait for perfect instructions—keep reading.

What You’ll Own

The work.

  • Lead the execution of transformation and change engagements day to day—owning quality, momentum, and prioritization, and translating strategy into clear plans and deliverables
  • Build employee and executive communications that are clear, human, and tuned to the moment—not corporate filler
  • Know the difference between done and finished: work leaves your hands ready for the client’s CEO, not just checked off a list

The client.

  • Be the person clients call—responsive, thoughtful, and honest, with the composure to offer a point of view
  • Read the signals: a hesitation, a newly cc’d executive, a meeting that went quiet—you notice, interpret, and adjust before you’re asked
  • Surface risks and opportunities early, to clients and to the Director, rather than after they’ve become problems or regrets

The team and the firm.

  • Coach junior teammates by modeling the standard—your work raises the bar for everyone around you
  • Flex across our areas of expertise—transformation, employee communications, intelligence, design—the way everyone here does; your depth is change and comms, but you’re not confined to a lane
  • Spot organic growth in existing relationships and contribute to proposals that articulate why this work matters

Who You Are

  • Around 4+ years in transformation, change, employee/internal communications, or related work—or fewer with standout ability and a real appetite for more
  • A track record of change or communications work that real employees responded to—not just decks that got approved
  • A strong writer with range. You can make an executive message and a frontline message both sound like a human wrote them
  • A proactive puzzle person: ambiguity reads as an invitation, not a threat, and you have a bias toward action—start, learn, adjust
  • Organized and unflappable across multiple workstreams; things move without quality slipping
  • Hungry to grow—you want more responsibility and you’re building toward it, not waiting for it to be handed to you
  • A curious nerd (we mean it as a compliment) who wants to understand the strategy, the design, and the data—not just your lane
  • Agency or consulting experience preferred; in-house change or comms leaders with client-facing instincts are welcome too

How We Work & What We Offer

  • Remote-friendly with a strong New York hub
  • Healthcare, vision, and dental fully paid for employees
  • Contract equity program for all full-time employees
  • Anticipated salary range: $80,000–$100,000, based on experience, skills, and scope, plus eligibility for a performance-based bonus
  • A culture that takes the work seriously and itself a little less so
