New Practice Leaders at Integral

We are excited to announce that Integral is expanding its leadership team. To better address the complex challenges our clients face, we have brought on four new practice leaders. These experienced professionals will help us deliver even more value by leveraging their expertise in various key areas.

Let’s meet our new leaders:

Susan Emerick – VP of Social Advocacy and Brand

Susan began working with Integral in 2018 as a consultant. She is co-author of the seminal marketing book, The Most Powerful Brand on Earth, the first book on the topic of employee social media advocacy. As the Social Advocacy and Brand practice leader, Susan will continue serving Integral clients with employee experience and engagement programs that drive advocacy, while expanding her purview to build integrated brand strategies for sustainable growth. She has led marketing and advocacy efforts for brands across various industries, including publishing, financial services, CPG, healthcare, and technology.

Charles Chesnut – VP of Insights and Experience

Charles joined Integral in 2022, bringing deep experience in leading transformation projects across digital media, content, and user experience strategy. As the Insights and Experience practice leader, Charles provides clients with research-based data, actionable insights, and experience design tailored to their needs. His research includes the Integral Index study of employee experience, perceptions, and behaviors, as well as custom surveys and secondary research. Charles has led UX, innovation, and content teams at IBM and other organizations, and has a background in political research at NBC News. He also recently led integrated marketing at AI startup r4 Technologies and is a member of IPR Elevate.

Scott Ashen – VP of Digital Workplace

Scott teamed up with Integral in 2020 as a consultant. As the Digital Workplace practice leader, Scott will lead Integral’s efforts to deliver strategic and creative thinking on digital communication channels. He supports clients in aligning their digital workplace platforms and investments with communications and employee engagement strategies. With nearly 20 years of consulting experience, Scott has worked with clients such as NYU Langone Health, Caterpillar, Fitch Ratings, and the University of Texas Health San Antonio. His diverse background includes roles at the Metropolitan Opera in New York, PaineWebber, and running the first microbrewery in Hong Kong.

Carolina Mata – VP of Employee Communications

Carolina joined Integral in May 2023. She has extensive experience leading employee communications and engagement, with a focus on enabling managers as communicators, creating outcome-oriented metrics, establishing internal marketing practices, and developing strategies that build bridges between organizations and employees. Carolina is also an International Coaching Federation Associate Certified Coach. Having led employee communications at XPO Logistics, Activision Blizzard, IBM, Pitney Bowes, and Whirlpool, she brings empathy, clarity, and an understanding of clients’ realities to her role as the Employee Communications practice leader.
